Understanding GFR and Kidney Health

The Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) is the best measure of kidney function. It estimates how much blood passes through the glomeruli (tiny filters in the kidneys) each minute. A healthy GFR means your kidneys are effectively filtering waste products from your blood.
