- Average Exterior Wall Height: Measure the average height of your walls from the foundation to the roofline.
- Window and Door Dimensions: Provide the number and average dimensions of your windows and doors. The calculator subtracts these areas from the total wall area, as siding isn't applied there.
- Siding Material Cost per Sq Ft: Research the current cost of your desired siding material. Prices can vary widely.
- Labor Cost per Sq Ft: Obtain quotes from local contractors to get an accurate estimate for labor in your area.
- Waste Factor: A standard waste factor is 10-15%. Consult with your contractor for a more precise percentage based on your home's design and siding type.
