   • Rectangular Rooms: For each room, measure the length and width from wall to wall. Round to the nearest half-foot or tenth of a foot for accuracy. Multiply Length × Width to get the square footage for that room.
   • Irregular Shapes: If a room isn't a perfect rectangle (e.g., an L-shaped living room), divide it into smaller, measurable rectangles. Measure each section separately, calculate its square footage, and then add them together.
