For both calculations, "Total Likes," "Total Comments," and "Total Shares" refer to the sum of these interactions on a specific post or across a set of posts you wish to analyze (e.g., your last 10 videos).
What is a Good TikTok Engagement Rate?
A "good" engagement rate can vary significantly based on industry, follower count, and content niche. However, general benchmarks suggest:
- Excellent: 10% or higher
- Good: 5% – 9.9%
- Average: 2% – 4.9%
- Below Average: Less than 2%

Let's say you have a TikTok video with:

Total Engagements: 1,500 + 120 + 50 = 1,670
Engagement Rate (per View): (1,670 / 50,000) * 100 = 3.34%
Engagement Rate (per Follower): (1,670 / 10,000) * 100 = 16.70%
